1. Overview
CarsQuoters, operated by MetricLink Labs LLC, provides free car insurance guidance. This policy explains how we handle information when you visit go.carsquoters.com or request guidance.
2. Information we collect
When you complete our guidance form, we collect your name, email, mobile phone, ZIP, vehicle type and year, coverage status and help topic. We record your Terms agreement, separate optional informational and marketing SMS choices, the consent language shown for each, submission timestamp and page URL. Limited technical information, such as browser type, IP address and pages requested, may be processed to operate and secure the website.
3. How we use information
We use your information to provide the guidance you requested and contact you by email or phone about your request. Each of our two separate optional text programs has its own opt-in. If you opt in to CarsQuoters Request Updates, we send automated informational texts about your own guidance request: confirmations, follow-ups with the guidance you asked for, and replies to your questions; these are not marketing messages. If you opt in to CarsQuoters Tips, we send recurring automated marketing texts: car insurance tips and updates about our guidance services. We also use information to maintain security and comply with law.
4. How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to service providers acting on our behalf under confidentiality obligations or as required by law.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
5. SMS Communications
CarsQuoters (operated by MetricLink Labs LLC) is the sole sender for CarsQuoters Request Updates (informational) and CarsQuoters Tips (marketing). Each program has its own separate optional, initially unchecked checkbox on /get-started. You can join either, both, or neither. SMS consent is never required to request guidance and is not a condition of any purchase.
Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time from the program you reply to; you will receive one final confirmation message. Reply STOP ALL or email us to leave both. Reply HELP or email contact@carsquoters.com for help.
Supported carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular and other major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We retain SMS consent records, including the verbatim text, timestamp, page URL and recorded independent opt-in choices, for at least four years after consent is given or withdrawn, to document compliance. See our SMS Terms for full program details.
6. Your choices
Request access, correction or deletion by emailing contact@carsquoters.com. To stop a text program, reply STOP to that program. Reply STOP ALL or email us to leave both. To stop other service follow-ups, contact us. California residents can read our California privacy rights.
7. Retention
We retain request information as needed to provide guidance and meet legal obligations. Consent evidence may be retained longer as described above.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure.
9. Children
This service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
10. Changes
Policy updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
